Two 宝, one baby

$宝拉 is a toy doll girl named 宝拉. 宝 means treasure.

Baobao doubles the 宝 into 宝宝, the Chinese word for baby. Same doll, made small: same yarn, same grin, same fox.

Two tiny yarn pigtails. One tooth. 睡睡 when it dips, awake when it pumps.

Baobao showed up carrying the same fox and one whole tooth to prove it. She kept the 宝 from her big sister's name because sharing is what little sisters do best. Most days she just grins, tugs her yarn pigtails straight, and waits to be picked up. People say the tooth makes the smile. We think it's the other way around.
